BFOI Y3 - Trainer - Felix

Woops I made a trainer as well! I really wanted to use Felix for something else, so I figured out how to get him out of the snow and on to a tropical island. Gonna be updating this a little here and there over the next little while.

The Trainer

Felix
Hometown: Around Snowpoint City/Sinnoh. He spends most of his time up mountains though.
Battle Style: Felix is used to battling wild Pokemon, not other trainers. He will tend to play defensively and wait for an opening as that is what he would normally do back home.
Preferred mode: He doesn’t know/have one...

Personality and History
Felix was born in Hoenn, but moved to Sinnoh with his mum around the age of nine, when his parents separated. They lived in Snowpoint City where Felix would often wander off with just his Growlithe. He loved the snow and exploring, and also enjoyed being away from people and the city. Over time he began to spend more and more time out of the city, before he practically stopped coming back at all. He’s taken up the title of “Researcher,” occasionally sharing information about the Pokemon on Mt Coronet. Though for the most part he is just travelling.
He’s very introverted and usually won’t approach anyone. Although frustrated by not being able to talk for quite a lot of his childhood, as people often didn’t, and still don’t, understand that he physically can’t talk, Felix has grown to enjoy just listening to others (and not just because he’s not about walking off on people when they’re talking to him). He is gentle and caring and he absolutely hates having the spotlight on him. He is very practical, very strong and has learnt a lot of survival skills from his time in the mountains.

Battle Test Series
Felix came to Ohana on the request of his mum. Recently having moved from Sinnoh, she insisted Felix come for a “holiday.” It wasn’t long after Felix arrived that his Mum’s true motivation was revealed and she forced him into the Battle Test Series. (It didn’t take much, Felix is a push-over when it comes to that kind of stuff) She’s always wanted Felix to be a successful battler.

Important stuff!!!
 Felix is physically unable to talk! It’s not by choice.
His Poketch has special apps that can shout commands to his Pokemon. (It’s formatted like the DS games lower screen) They are used to Felix though and often know what he is thinking.
He can also type into his Poketch if he needs to, but he really prefers not to say anything anyway.
He wears a dog tag that says “Felix. I’m mute” very bluntly on it.
He’s not used to the heat. He bought the clothes he’s wearing on Ohana because he literally has no summer clothes.
He hasn’t nicknamed his Pokemon cause he couldn’t use them anyway.

The Pokemon

Mamoswine
Quite fun loving and naive. He often has his ‘tiny child in a mammoth body’ moments. Mamoswine is a solid Pokemon that is often Felix’s choice for transport through the snow.
The brute force of the team.

Raz
On loan from his mum to meet the requirements for the Battle Test Series. (Using his lack of a flying type Pokemon as an excuse was not going to fly with her.) Raz is more suited to a support role as she is more interested in eating and sharing berries than battling.
She will usually be carrying a Sitrus Berry

Empoleon
A showman at heart, Empoleon’s only interest is looking cool. Felix’s mum asked Prof. Rowan to give Felix a starter Pokemon in the hopes that he would take on Sinnoh’s Pokemon League. He didn’t. And Empoleon would be much more interested in Contests anyway.
A big fan of penguin sledding.

Tyrunt
Another gift given to Felix as an egg, along with an Amaura egg (Now hatched and being looked after by Felix's mum during the Battle Test). Tyrunt is aggressive by nature and keen to beat up on other Pokemon. Felix is trying to calm her down, but has a lot of work ahead of him.
She probably thinks you taste pretty good.

Arcanine
Given to Felix as a Growlithe by his parents. Arcanine has been Felix’s best buddy forever and is very protective of him. He’s warm and fuzzy and keeps Felix nice and cozy while up mountains.
Loyal, brave and usually pretty happy.

Abomasnow
An old man inside and out. Abomasnow is very chilled and does not feel the need to move very fast. He’s capable of taking hits and has had a long time to master his battle techniques.
Really he just wants to have a nap though.
